Sarah Kaznowski

Sarah Kaznowski has recently retired from the BBC Symphony Orchestra, where she was a cellist for nearly for nearly 40 years.

Sarah initially studied at the RCM, and then went to Vienna for 2 years to study with the great French pedagogue Andre Navarra. On returning to the UK she took up a position in the CBSO, where she met her late husband Michal Kaznowski who was then the Principal Cello.

She joined the BBC and had a wonderful career, playing under great conductors, playing in the Proms and travelling the world.

Sarah has always enjoyed teaching and with her husband set up a thriving Children’s Orchestra which lasted many years.

Since retiring from the BBC Sarah plays in many chamber music ensembles and continues to teach extensively.

Glyn Devey

Glyn Devey, an accomplished composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist based in Buckinghamshire, United Kingdom, boasts a dynamic 30+ year career deeply entrenched in the diverse landscapes of music.  His passion spans film, TV, jazz, contemporary rock/pop, and electronic music, creating a unique sonic identity that melds traditional orchestral and acoustic instruments with electronic and experimental sounds.  Throughout his illustrious career, Glyn has left his mark on advertising and entertainment, contributing to TV adverts for renowned brands like Cosmote, L’Oreal, TSB, SkyTV and Freshbooks.  His compositions have also graced popular shows like Love Island and Neighbours, while his film score cues span biopics, drama, and horror genres.
Beyond composition, Glyn has excelled as a producer and writer for artists across diverse genres, showcasing his versatility in Pop, Rock, Country, Folk, Grunge, RnB, Hip Hop, Jazz, and Reggae.  As a performer and musical director, he has taken the stage for tribute artists, theatre productions, corporate engagements, live tours and acoustic performance.  Glyn’s lifelong connection with music began at the age of three when he first touched the strings of an acoustic guitar.  His early experimentation with music production led to formal studies in composition, performance, technology, and production.  Besides his professional pursuits, Glyn contributes to music education, having authored Higher National Diplomas/Foundation Degrees in Music Composition, Performance, Production and Technology.
Looking ahead, Glyn’s journey continuous with four upcoming film projects in the Biography, Horror, Drama, and Action genres.

Rebecca Vines

REBECCA VINES LLAM, LALAM, MSTSD (Adj.) trained as an actor with The London Centre for Theatre Studies, and has performed in a variety of roles, including Maggie (Dancing at Lughnasa), Beverly (Abigail’s Party), Madame Arcati (Blithe Spirit), Susan (A Bed Among the Lentils) and Elizabeth Proctor (The Crucible).

In 2014, Rebecca was awarded the Fellowship of the Royal Society of Arts for her work in establishing theatre companies to promote young and emerging performers. She has also founded and worked/works as Artistic Director of No Prophet, Eleventh Hour and Talking Shadows theatre companies which were created to springboard young performance careers.

Rebecca is a Shakespeare scholar with a particular interest in his female roles, the history plays, and the socio-historic legacy of theatrical interpretations. She is working on a PhD exploring Queenship in Shakespeare’s history plays. She is passionate about opening up diversity in the Arts and works with a range of agencies to ensure enhanced visibility for all sectors of society.

Jean Kelly

Jean Kelly hails from an Irish family of several generations of professional musicians Jean studied Irish harp and concert harp with Bonnie Shaljean at Cork School of Music, and with Aileen McArdle at Limerick School of Music. Jean won a scholarship to study harp at the Royal College of Music, London where she studied with Daphne Boden and Hugh Webb. A versatile and pioneering musician, Jean has an eclectic career spanning orchestral, contemporary and world music. Jean specializes in classical, folk and early harps.

She has recorded three CD’s with the Locrian Ensemble, including Handel Harp Concerto and Mozart Flute and harp Concerto. A CD of Chamber Music by Richard Arnell was Editor’s Choice in Gramophone magazine. She has also recorded for the Guild and Stockfisch labels.

Jean has recorded for composers such as Jonny Greenwood, Max Richter and Dario Marianelli. She played solo harp on Michael Kiwanuka’s Mercury Prize winning album.

Jean regularly performs with The Telling and The Society of Strange and Ancient Instruments, playing medieval, gothic, celtic and triple harps. She loves the freedom of playing and improvising with these groups, extending beyond the printed notes, and drawing on her past musical influences.

Gwenllian Llyr

Welsh harpist Gwenllian Llŷr is gaining international recognition for her charismatic and engaging performances. Gwenllian was twice a prize-winner at the USA International Harp Competition in Bloomington where she was highly praised for her musicianship. She has also won many prizes more locally, including the Len Lickorish Memorial Prize for a String Player of Promise at the Royal Over-Seas League AMC 2018, as well as becoming an Artist with City Music Foundation in 2017.

Gwenllian’s career has already taken her across the globe, with performances in prestigious venues such as St. David’s Hall, Buckingham Palace, Carnegie Hall and the Royal Albert Hall, and alongside renowned artists such as jazz legend Al Jarreau, pianist Imogen Cooper, and international opera singer Bryn Terfel. Following the successful release of her debut solo album, ‘Dusk to Dawn’, in which her playing was hailed as “magnificent” and “powerful”, Gwenllian has recently released a CD of all-Welsh music with Tŷ Cerdd, featuring neverbefore recorded works alongside well-known gems.

A graduate of the Royal Academy of Music, The Juilliard School and the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama, Gwenllian is currently based in London where she is enjoying a busy and varied freelance career. Her love of the harp extends beyond the stage: Gwenllian’s private teaching studio is thriving, with students winning prizes in national and international competitions and gaining membership to prestigious schools and orchestral courses. In addition, Gwenllian’s published works are gaining popularity, and she looks forward to finding more time to share more of her works in the coming years.

Susan Clark

Susan Clark started playing the piano at the age of four and attended the Trinity College of Music Junior Department for ten years, studying piano, flute, violin and musicianship. She continued her studies at Cambridge University and while there performed extensively both as a soloist and accompanist. After graduating, Susan successfully completed a Postgraduate Diploma in performance at the Royal College of Music and was awarded an MA in musicology by the Open University.

She has appeared as a soloist or accompanist at most of lhe major London concert venues, including the South Bank, St. John’s, Smith Square, Southwark Cathedral and St. Martin in the Fields. She has also played at the Edinburgh and the Aldeburgh Fringe Festivals and various music clubs in the south east and has performed at the Martinu Hall in Prague. In 2003 she performed a Mozart piano concerto with Trinity Orchestra, Harrow and in 2009 appeared with the Lincolnshire Symphony Orchestra playing Chopin’s first piano concerto.

Susan has had three articles about teaching techniques published in the Music Teacher magazine and in 2018 wrote and published the book ‘Speedy Music Theory’.

She has taught at Harrow School, Eagle House School, Latymer Saturday Music Centre and Wellington College. Susan currently holds posts as a visiting teacher of piano at Merchant Taylor’s School and Latymer Upper. She examines for the ABRSM in the UK and has completed many examining tours in the Far East including Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong and China. She is also an adjudicator member of BIFF and regularly adjudicates at music festivals around the UK.

In her spare time Susan enjoys playing with her Ragdoll cats and is attempting to learn some Mandarin and the harp.
