Strings Section
The string competitions cover violin, viola, cello, double bass as well as guitars and related plucked instruments. Classes are for players of all ages, and include graded classes and a premier class for conservatoire level students.

D’Addario String Prize Competition
Premier String Class
This recital class is the Festival’s premier string competition. The class is open to conservatoire students of Violin, Viola, Cello or Double Bass. The recital must include two or three varied pieces taken from Concerto, Sonata, Showpiece or Solo repertoire. The prizes are generously sponsored by D’Addario.


Concerto Performance Opportunity
North & East London Musician Competition offers an opportunity for outstanding performers from the North London Festival of Music, Speech & Drama to perform a concerto.
