Before making an entry

Note that this entry method does not apply to the Emanuel Trophy Piano Competition (see here).

Please ensure that you have carefully read the syllabus(es) relevant to the section(s) you are entering. Each section has different instructions laid out in the relevant syllabus.

Any questions should be directed to the section administrators.

Steps to enter

  1. Entries to the Festival classes is done through a system called Play&Perform (link below).
  2. Play&Perform takes applications and payments.
  3. The first time you use Play&Perform, you will need to register.
  4. Once you have logged on, click ‘Enter a class‘.
  5. You will then be given the choice of entering yourself, someone else, such as a child or a pupil or a group. If you select, ‘Someone else’ you can enter someone new.
  6. Select the section and then click on the box next to the class/classes you wish to enter.
  7. At this point you can either carry on to pay or save your entry.
  8. When you pay, you will be offered the opportunity to make a donation to the Festival.
  9. When you have paid you will receive an acknowledgement with your reference number.
  10. You won’t see your entry in the list of entries until you have paid.
  11. You will be sent more information and the exact time of your class nearer the time, when all the entries have been received and classes can be timetabled.
